Wendy is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) based in Colorado, dedicated to supporting educators, students, and school personnel in implementing effective behavioral strategies. She brings extensive experience in conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), developing and coaching staff on Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs), implementing Hanley’s Practical Functional Assessment (PFA) and Skill-Based Treatment (SBT), and supervising school-based Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and paraeducators. Wendy has also supervised BCBA candidates remotely in various locations, including internationally. Wendy has built a strong reputation for helping school districts and staff manage challenging behaviors and create positive, supportive learning environments.
Wendy’s passion for supporting individuals with special needs began in her teenage years while working summers at a camp for children with disabilities in the Chicago area. This formative experience ignited her dedication to working with students—particularly those exhibiting challenging and aggressive behaviors.
She earned her undergraduate degree in Special Education from Gonzaga University and spent five years teaching elementary special education. Wendy later completed her Master’s in Special Education at the University of Washington and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in 2019. She transitioned into a district-wide BCBA role, where she supported multiple school districts across central Washington, helping educators implement effective behavioral interventions for students with complex needs.
Wendy’s true passion lies in coaching and empowering educators and support staff to confidently apply behavior analytic strategies. She specializes in bug-in-ear coaching—a remote supervision model that allows for real-time, distance-based support. In 2023, Wendy began providing remote supervision to BCBA candidates and coaching to school district personnel. Her mission is to equip others with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to independently and effectively support students with behavioral challenges
